Custom Web Applications for the Work Off-the-Shelf Software Can't Do

Client portals, internal tools, billing platforms, multi-tenant SaaS — designed, built, and maintained by the same team since 2008. Every project starts with a written technical specification, so you know exactly what you’re getting before you commit.

The Problem

You already know what's broken. You just don't have anyone to build the fix.

Most of the companies we work with aren’t starting from nothing. They’re starting from something that used to work.

You're an agency or marketing director with a project that needs real engineering.

The brand and strategy are handled — what’s missing is a technical partner who can build the application layer, hit the deadline, and make you look good in front of your client.

A spreadsheet became the system of record.

It made sense at 20 records. At 5,000 it’s a liability — no audit trail, no permissions, and one person who understands the formulas.

Your team is the integration.

Someone exports a CSV from one platform every Monday and pastes it into another. That’s a salary you’re paying to move data.

The off-the-shelf tool fits 70% of your process.

So you’ve bent your process around the other 30%, and now you’re paying per seat to be inefficient.

You have a product idea and no engineering team.

You need someone who can take it from “here’s the concept” to something real users are paying for — not just a prototype.

You inherited a codebase.

The developer who built it is gone. It works, mostly, and nobody wants to touch it.

None of these are technology problems. They’re capacity problems. You know what needs to exist; you need a team that can build it and still be here in three years to maintain it.
What We Build

Six things we do more than anything else:

01/

Client & customer portals

Give your customers a place to log in, see their data, manage their account, and stop emailing your support team. Authentication, roles, billing, self-serve — the full stack.

02/

Internal tools & operations software

The dashboard, workflow, or approval system your team runs on every day. Purpose-built for how you work, not how a SaaS vendor assumed you work.

03/

Multi-tenant & white-label SaaS platforms

One codebase serving many customers, each with their own data, branding, and domain. We’ve built the tenancy layer, the provisioning flow, and the billing that goes with it.

04/

Billing & subscription systems

Stripe integration, usage-based pricing, proration, dunning, invoicing, revenue reporting. The unglamorous part that has to be right.

05/

API & platform integrations

Connecting the systems you already pay for — CRM, ERP, payment, MDM, fulfillment — so data moves without a human in the middle.

06/

Legacy takeover & modernization

We inherit codebases nobody wants to touch. Audit, stabilize, document, then improve. You don’t have to rebuild from zero to get out of trouble.

07/

AI-assisted workflows

We treat AI as an accelerant, not a replacement for good engineering. From generating first drafts of documentation to rapid prototyping and automated code reviews, we use the best AI tools available to cut down our internal cycle times.

The Process

How a Project Actually Runs

Most custom software fails on scope and communication, not code. Here’s how we prevent that.

01

Discovery & technical scoping

Before anyone writes code, we map your workflows, data model, integrations, and edge cases into a written specification — screens, user roles, business rules, third-party dependencies. You get an estimated scope and timeline based on a real document, not a guess.

02

Architecture & foundation

Database schema, authentication, permissions, deployment pipeline, staging environment. The decisions that are cheap now and expensive in month eight.

03

Build in two-week sprints

Working software on a staging URL you can log into at the end of every sprint. No six-week silences. You see progress and you can redirect early, when redirecting is still cheap.

04

QA before you ever see it

Our quality division tests every build independently of the developers who wrote it — functionality, edge cases, permissions, cross-browser, mobile. You review features, not bugs.

05

Launch & handover

Deployment, monitoring, backups, and documentation. Your code is yours: full repository access, no lock-in, no proprietary framework you can only maintain through us.

06

Ongoing partnership

Software isn’t finished at launch. Our maintenance plans cover security patching, dependency updates, monitoring, and a standing block of development hours — with a 30-minute response time when something’s wrong.

The Stack

and Why We Chose It

We’re deliberately narrow. A team that ships the same tools every week catches problems a generalist doesn’t.

laravel

Laravel (PHP)

Our primary application framework. Mature, exceptionally well-documented, and staffed by a large talent pool, which means you're never dependent on one person's availability — including ours.

vue inertia 2

Vue.js + Inertia

Fast, modern interfaces without the overhead of a separate front-end application to maintain.

flutter

Flutter

When the application needs to be in the App Store and Google Play, one codebase covers both.

mysql postgresql redis

MySQL / PostgreSQL, Redis

Data layer built for the query patterns your application actually runs.

stripe icon

Stripe

Subscriptions, usage billing, marketplace payouts, tax handling.

aws cloudflare

AWS + Cloudflare

Hosting, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, monitoring, automated backups.

wordpress

WordPress

When the marketing site should stay editable by your marketing team while the application lives alongside it.

What It Costs

Every application is different, so we won’t publish a price list that’s wrong for your project. What we can tell you exactly is how pricing works:

Step one is always Technical Discovery & Specification — We map your workflows, data model, integrations, and edge cases into a written specification. You get an estimated price and timeline for the build based on that document. If you decide not to proceed, the specification is yours to take to any developer.

Build engagements are then estimated against the specification, and ongoing work runs on a monthly maintenance plan.

Frequently. We start with a paid audit — architecture, code quality, security, dependency health — and give you a written assessment of what it would take to stabilize and extend it. Sometimes that assessment is “rebuild.” We’ll tell you when it is.

Most clients move onto a maintenance plan covering security updates, monitoring, backups, and a monthly block of development hours. Applications that aren’t maintained become security incidents.

You do. We deploy to infrastructure in your accounts, or we host and manage it — your call. Either way, the accounts are in your name.
Heavily during discovery, then roughly a two-hour sprint review every two weeks. We need your domain knowledge, not your project management.
